Gerberas are named after the German botanist and naturist, Traugott Gerber and should therefore be pronounced with a hard ‘g’ like ‘get’ not soft like ‘gesture’.

Welcome to Forget Me Not Florist & Gift Shop.

 

We are located within Redlynch Central Shopping Centre in the beautiful Cairns suburb of Redlynch.

The Cairns region is home to a number of wonderful growers of flowers and at Forget Me Not we utilize these growers as much as is practicable; so our roses, gerberas, chrysanthemum, alstromeria, tropicals and other flowers are all locally grown. When we cannot get locally grown flowers—for example lilies—we take great care to only buy from quality wholesellers of fine flowers. It is in these ways that we strive to have the freshest, most beautiful flowers possible, on sale and included in all of our arrangements.

Our Senior Florist at Forget Me Not, is Pat Parsons. Pat has worked in the floristry industry for over thirty years and is known to many Cairns residents as the former owner of The Black Camelia in Cairns and as the former senior florist at Town & Country in Edge Hill.
